About Another Crabs Treasure Prototype
Take a peek at the very first build of Another Crab's Treasure made back in Feb of 2021! Including OG Kril and an enemy you might recognize that made it to the full release of Another Crab's Treasure! The prototype can be completed in about 3-5 minutes, so we better see some crazy speedruns. What you sea is what ya get! Haha get it. It's like the whole ocean thing again. Ok but seriously have fun diving in. Remember that this was a prototype to show investors, not made for the general public.

Frequently Asked Questions
For fans of soulslikes with a creative twist, absolutely. Its core strength is a brilliant shell-swapping mechanic that constantly refresishes combat and exploration, offering strategic variety. The underwater world is gorgeous and full of personality, balancing challenging combat with clever humor. If you appreciate inventive takes on familiar formulas and don't mind some prototype-level jank, it's a uniquely charming and rewarding experience well worth the dive.
The playtime for the prototype and the full release will differ. The available demo/prototype offers a substantial slice, taking roughly 2-4 hours to complete thoroughly. For the final game, expect a runtime in the neighborhood of 15-25 hours for a standard playthrough, with completionists likely spending 30+ hours to find all secrets, upgrades, and alternate shells. This places it on the shorter, more focused end of the soulslike spectrum.
No, Another Crab's Treasure is a strictly single-player experience. There is no cooperative or competitive multiplayer mode. The game is designed around a solitary journey, focusing on Kril's personal struggle and the one-on-one challenge of its combat encounters. The development effort is concentrated on delivering a polished, immersive solo adventure with deep mechanics and a rich world to explore by yourself.
Another Crab's Treasure is confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. As for Game Pass, there has been no official announcement regarding its inclusion at launch. Players should monitor official channels from publisher Aggro Crab for any subscription service news. The prototype demo was initially available on Steam, indicating a strong PC presence alongside the console versions.
It shares the DNA of punishing combat, stamina management, and reclaiming lost currency upon death. However, it carves its own identity with accessibility options and a lighter tone. The shell system is its masterstroke—each trash-shell grants a unique special ability, adding a layer of playful, adaptive strategy not found in its grimdark inspirations. It's more akin to a colorful, experimental cousin like "Mortal Shell" in its central gimmick, but with a wholly original and environmentally-conscious undersea setting.
